  • Back to the Mat!

Firstly, I would like to say a massive 'thank you' to all of you for supporting us over the last 16 months, whether it be by joining us on our Zoom Lessons or returning to training once you were able to. We pride ourselves on being a family and you have shown us that we truly are, and we appreciate your support and loyalty during this difficult period.

Unfortunately, since we have returned from the most recent lockdown, we have found that not only have most of our halls increased their prices but also all of our overheads have increased too. Therefore, we will have to follow suit and increase our prices as well. Please know that I have not taken this decision lightly.

As of the 1st of September 2021 The Wakarishin Ju-Jitsu Association will increase its class fees by £1 per session across the board. For those paying per session that means children's prices will be £7, adults will be £10, and juniors training in the adult classes will pay £8.50. If you pay via direct debit the prices will go up accordingly, but the maths is a little more complicated, so please speak to your sensei's if you need more detail.

Thanks again, and we'll see you back in the dojo!

  • Coronavirus Update

We're starting to get back in the dojo!

Obviously, we're having to make some changes to ensure we're keeping everyone safe, so please contact your senseis for information about which classes are restarting, when they'll happen, and the changes you can expect.

  • Coronavirus Update and Southend Competition

Here are all the details you need to know regarding club closures. Following UK Government guidelines, we have made the tough decision that ALL our clubs will close. South Woodham club is open tonight, 19th March. This will be the last one until further notice. Harold Hill club will be open tomorrow, 20th March. This will be the last one. ALL other clubs are now closed with immediate effect until further notice. We will keep you posted on events and developments as we have the information available. So please keep a check on our FB pages.

Also, we regret to inform everyone that we have taken the very sad decision to cancel the Southend International Course & Championships 2020. The event relies on everyone's support and is a huge team effort. Unfortunately, the various travel and personal restrictions placed on all of us right now make this impossible.

    Keep safe everyone.

  • Squad Trails Time and Location Change
